My name is Anıl Yaman. I was born in 1996, in İzmir as the second child of my family. I’ve graduated from İzmir Bornova Anatolian High School in 2014 and presently, I’m studying at Istanbul University, Construction Engineering department. I’ve played basketball for a while when I was very young. I’ve started water polo in 2007 with my father’s suggestion and because of my excess weight. I’ve played for ESTI for 8 years as a licensed athlete. We have achieved 3rd place 5 years in a row in the League 1 (for born in 1996). We have achieved 6th place in World Championship in 2014 with Turkiye U18 team. This success is still the biggest achievement in the history of Turkish Water Polo National Teams.
Water polo has supported my physical development enormously. It also added me positive characteristics due it’s nature of team sport and also expanded my social connections.
In 10 years from now on, I hope to see myself as the captain of MSSK competing for the upper table and Champions League.
