I was born in Istanbul, in 1987. After the elementary school, Aramyan Uncuyan Elementary School, I’ve graduated from Tudem Vocational School of Tourism and Hotel Management. Afterwards, I’ve graduated from Boğaziçi University, Tourism and Hotel Management department.
I’ve attended a basketball course for 3 months in 1993 and started swimming in 1994. I was big and overweighed compared to my age group and I started water polo in 1995 with the intention to lose weight.
As a licensed athlete, I’ve played 13 years for Galatasaray and 7 years for Kınalıada Water Sports. I’ve lived league and cup championships at Galatasaray. I’ve competed at international tournaments with Turkiye National Team. When I compare MSSK with other clubs, the most important point is that it’s not based solely on single culture but it creates a mosaic of sports lovers who love water sports, enjoying this sport and eager to do it properly.
I believe that the road to success lies in the disciplined and devoted hard work. However, it’s much more important if the devotion belongs to the whole team instead of individuals. In all sports, hard work is the main reason of success. If you can add a good friendship to the hard work for team sports, then success is inevitable. In 10 years from now on, I see MSSK as an ecole developing educated athletes from youth setups and a well-established club in this sport.
