My name is Egemen Diktaş. I was born in 2008, in İstanbul. I’m a 2nd grade student at Manisa Ahmet Tütüncüoğlu Elementary School. I started sports with gymnastic at pre-school. One day, I saw the children swimming in a separate section of the swimming pool which I visited with my family and the I registered to a swimming coarse in order to swim like them. I learned to see life positively, thanks to swimming. My confidence has developed and I learned that success comes from disciplined and hard training. I won 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals in the races I joined so far.
The difference of MSSK compared to other clubs is that they really care about water sports. Coaches show great interest in the students and they do their best to teach us the techniques properly. They correct our mistakes right away. Furthermore, they are disciplined and they create the proper environment for families to meet with each other. They behave athletes as individuals and they have a lenient approach. These are positive sides of MSSK. I’m very happy to be an athlete of this club. MSSK develops the future athletes of Olympics and I believe that I’ll a swimmer making places in the national and international competitions in the future.
