I’m Öykü Üstündağ. I was born in 2004, in Manisa. I’m a 6th grade student at Çağatay Uluçay Middle School. I started sports with gymnastic when I was 3 years old. I started swimming when I was 4 years old at Manisa Youth Sports Club in order to gain athlete discipline and to spend my free time more efficiently and properly. After swimming there for 5 years as licensed swimmer, I joined MSSK at the age of 8. I won many medals in Manisa club competitions and Turkiye Anatolian Young Teams League, 3rd place Aegean District at backstroke style and also many success and attendance certificates at many different cities.
I’m a healthy, confident and responsible person due to swimming. I join competitions out of our city and so I learn how to handle the problems alone when I was away from my family.
I strongly emphasize MSSK for disciplined trainings and not discriminating between students. I believe than the reasons of success are this environment and our determined, disciplined and devoted trainings with our coaches. My goals are making places in national competitions and joining to Olympics.
