My name is Sudem Akın. I was born at 7 months as preterm birth and I was just 1500 gr when I was born.
My right arm and right foot is partially paralyzed due to the lack of oxygen flow to my brain during birth. When I was 8 months old, I had convulsion with high fever 4 times. My last convulsion was in 2011 with 40 degrees’ body temperature. I have visual impairment in both eyes. I also have a prosthetic at my right foot due to shortening of 3cm. I study at Kemal Pınar Elementary School. I started swimming 5 years ago.

I won a bronze medal in the competition arranged at Mersin in 2014 and a silver medal in the competition arranged at Alanya in 2015. I continue to develop physically. I will continue to work hard in order to be more successful and reach better goals with our coaches.
