Due to our social responsibility consciousness, we have opened the “Paralympic Swimming Branch” in our club, to help disabled children and youngsters take part in the social life and to regaining their self confidence.
Thanks to the devoted endeavors of Şule Dalyan, our Paralympic Swimming Team coach, and the hard working of our athletes, we managed to reach outstanding achievements in this branch in a very short period.
One of our athletes, Sefa Yurtkölesi participated in the Turkish Paralympic Swimming Championship, which was held in Istanbul, on April 12-13, 2014. He won 2 gold medals from 50m freestyle and 50m butterfly stroke, and two silver medals from 50m freestyle and 50m backstroke.
Yurtkölesi is invited to the Turkish National Team camp. As a part of the Turkish national team, he participated in the Paralympics International Open Swimming Championship in April 25-27, 2014 that was held in Sao Paulo, Brasil, and won 1 gold and 2 bronze medals.
Batuhan Çiltaş, Ceylin Akbıyık, Deniz Ünsal, Efecan Ötnü, Mehmet Kandemir, Mehmet İlerü and Sudem Akın, who are also athletes from our Paralympics team, participated in the Turkish Paralympic Swimming Championship on December 26-28, 2014 and honored us by winning 6 gold and 2 silver medals.
