I have been working as a coach since 2008 after having terminated my professional career as a player.
In short, as a professional player, I won seven national cups and one championship with Partizan (Serbia) and national championships with Slavia Bratislava (Slovakia) and Galatasaray (Turkey). I also won a gold medal in Fukuoka Universiade in 1995 with Serbian national team.
I have had three successful seasons from summer 2014 until this summer 2016. I won eight gold medals in a row which is one of the biggest successes ever made in water polo. Every competition where Serbian team played we won gold medal.
I believe the key to success is very simple: HARD WORK, SELF DISCIPLINE AND 120% COMMITMENT. If young players can obey these three rules ,they would have a big chance to become successful athletes, no matter what sport they choose to do.
As a new coach in MSSK my goal for this season is to take the team one step further than last year. In our case it means playing the finals. It is not going to be easy but all of us in the club will give our best to do so.
One of the best moments in my career was for sure this summer when we got a gold medal in Rio De Janeiro at the Olympic games. The feeling of being the best in the world by winning all competitions and at the end winning the gold at the Olympics was the thing that I would remember forever. Being a part of maybe the most successful water polo team means a lot to me.
